Dental pulp is made up of nerves, blood vessels and connective tissues. Root Canal Treatment (RCT) requires visits depending upon the number of teeth severity of the disease. RCT includes drilling through the pulp area and cleaning, shaping the root canal followed by the filling the root canal with biocompatible material such as gutta-percha. Finally a crown or permanent filling will be inserted within a month of the root canal procedure.
It's a treatment of repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth.
RCT procedure starts from removing the damaged or effected area of the tooth, cleaning & disinfecting it after disinfecting filling & sealing it. Commonly affecting pulp is due to Deep Cavity, Cracked Tooth, Repeated Dental Treatment to the tooth, Accident or Trauma. In gernal "Root Canal" means cleaning of the canals inside the tooth's root.
